Not only are the students secretive, but so is their rarely seen Headmaster, Professor Karkaroff. As for the Dark Arts, hardly any families are associated with the Dark Arts anymore, which is something that Karkaroff isn't too pleased with. It's like everyone nowadays is from a pure home. Even worse, it's no longer just Dark families which are rich. No one seems to want to even learn the Dark Arts anymore, and with the rise of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, more students are wanting Defense Against the Dark Arts. ellion affect Durmstrang, and will Durmstrang ever get a good reputation, or will it stay the same, or gradually become more and more associated with You-Know-Who? Old members have a choice of starting from scratch or moving things from old site to new site. They MUST still fill out an application. You may want to change your character around completely, and getting it all down in an application would help you get an idea, and plus new people are joining the site, and we don't want to give anybody special treatment, even if we still love you guys 2. You must be 13 to join.- It's a proboards site rule and so therefore its a rule here as well. 3. You must be fluent in English; and know how to use proper spelling and grammar. 4.Do not argue against the admins unless you think you have been treated unfairly. They're the ones who put all the effort into the site, not you. 5.If you write anything above kissing/snogging, please put some sort of warning into the title. 6.You must supply a signature and avatar for your character. If you do not have one, check out this site and request one there, or request one in our graphics board. 7. Absolutely no mary sues. 8.No one liners! You must have two sentences before you can even have dialogue. 6 lines per post is minimum though more is wanted since most by now can post that long- And believe me we'll be watching 9. No God modding- if you have to godmod, ask the person first in a pm or something if they aren't there instead of going right ahead, even if you know them. 10.Remain active. We all have lives, but it's not difficult to post every now and then. 11.No characters from Britain. You are allowed Krum, but pretty much no one else, unless mentioned in the books that the character was from Durmstrang. Yes, this means this site will be 99.8% original characters. 12.We will be a bit picky about applications due to the fact we don't want Mary Sues, so make your application good! 13.If you want your character to have something special [be an animagus, have a 'powerful' father, get pregnant, get married, die, etc. etc], you must PM the admin for permission! If you wish to be a vampire, werewolf or anything else like that, just write it into your application, however very few will be accepted, and only the best role players will get the opportunities for these things; so beware. If you read the rules thusfar, please write the phrase: My peanut! in the "other stuff" section of the application. 14.Do not make stuff up about Durmstrang [that's the admin's job ]. If you need to know something about Durmstrang, just PM or ask the admin, and they'll tell you. 15.For your characters, please use, in the very least, Russian or German last names. If their first names are Russian or German, it makes it that much better. 16.Transfers from North and South America and Australia will not be accepted 17.
