Welcome to Durmstrang, a magical school in which the focus is around the Dark Arts, equality is a word that doesn't seem to be understood and everyone seems to have their dirty little secrets. Not only are the students secretive, but so is their rarely seen Headmaster, Professor Karkaroff.
As for the Dark Arts, hardly any families are associated with the Dark Arts anymore, which is something that Karkaroff isn't too pleased with. It's like everyone nowadays is from a pure home. Even worse, it's no longer just Dark families which are rich. No one seems to want to even learn the Dark Arts anymore, and with the rise of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, more students are wanting Defense Against the Dark Arts.

Adrian had been sitting at the lake for nearly an hour, he often sat close to the edge when he wanted some time alone but right now he had been sitting and thinking for an hour and he didn't want to sit alone anymore. Standing up he looked around the grounds for someone that he knew, today was a good day weather wise and many more students could be found wandering the grounds of durmstrangs, a think layer of snow was on the ground and Adrian feet crunched underneath them. Adrian had seen no one outside that he knew but wandering around for a while might mean he bumps into a few people. Its not like people were going to give him strang looks for wandering arond alone as if he were some lonar, people knew he wasn't and he normally got stared at because people admired him.
Adrian usually walked with his head held hight, he that he should make the most of hsi hight instead of slumping over and trying to hide it. Today however he was in a slow mood and his eyes were downcast. After walking around for a few minutes he heard voices, lifting his eyes he spotted a group of girls, he had come close to walking through there little circle and stopping Adrian turned to escpae before he was pinned and questioned about the were-about of his two rather womanising friends. As he turned he heard his name called out and he sighed and turned back to the group, only to be surprised by the person calling his name.

Blythe had just gotten off of work and was now heading back to the castle after a tiring day at her parent's friends restaraunt. It was small but well known to people and it had good food there. Good service was also there, but a lot of the people that came liked to make fun of her for working there, thinking that she was actually poor and was only trying to help her parents get some money to pay for things, but really she was just helping the friend out. That day had been one of those times when that happened and didn't stick up for herself. She didn't want her friend to lose business because of the stuck up people from her school.
Up ahead, Blythe thought she saw someone that she recognized, a boy. It took her a moment to remember his name, but she remembered and surprised herself by calling it. "Adrian," she called, and walked past the group of girls, ignoring them as they made faces about the uniform she was wearing. And she still had on her apron. After realizing that, she quickly took it off and continued walking towards Adrian, which surprised herself as well as him. She had never spoken to the guy before, only seen him with his friends in the hallway... Luka and Dimitri? He seemed a lot more mellow than those two though why she was doing this, she had no idea.
She finally reached him, and stood next to him as an awkward silence came. "Hi," she finally said though her face burned with embarresment. Their two worlds wouldn't meet so how would he know who she was even after all these years of going to the same school? This would just give him something to laugh about later with Dimitri and Luka as they went out drinking or whatever, and she just threw the opportunity at him.

"Hey" Adrian said looking a little confused but happy that he had someone to talk to. He recognised the girl, not from being close friends or acctually talking to her in the past but she was one of the girls that Luka and Dimitri were interested in, unfortunatly for them, she appeared to have a little more respect for herself then to just jump into bed with two of the easiest boys in the school. "Its Blythe right?" he said hoping that this wa the girl that he had heard mentioned by his two best friends. Adrian looked at the other girls who seemed puzzled by what sh was doing talking to him. Adrian smiled "You seem to have saved me Blythe" he said nodding his head at the confused girls "Thank you" he smiled "Now im going to walk away slowly so as not to frighten them, will you join me?" he said, his perfect smile showing curling at either sides of his pale cheeks.

Blythe remained oblivious to how she was known to Adrian, she was attractive enough but she wasn't aware of how many guys at the school were actually into her since she rarely paid much attention though she did like to flirt and date occasionally. "Yeah," she said, a little taken aback at how he knew her name. As for someone who hung out with Luka and Dimitri, she was quite surprised at how different he seemed towards them and was able to warm up easily. She looked back at the girls and shook her head. "I think you may have saved me, I would be the one getting attacked if you weren't there, they would just try to claim you as their own first," she said, instantly relaxing as he flashed a smile and returned it with a friendly one. "Safety in numbers," she answered, shrugging and walked forward and fell into step with him.

"As lovely as those girls are to some people they really aren't my type" Adrian said smiling as they got out of ear shot of the group of girls who had gone back to whatever their conversation had been before. "So Blythe" he said thinking about to to re-phrase the question without sounding rude "Not to sound like i rude and like i don't appreciate your company but i don't think we have ever acctually met before?" he said "Not that i mind meeting you, i mean you seem nice enough, and more intellagent then most girls so i am assuming that this conversation will last longer then ten minutes like most do" he said smiling as he thought about some of the girls he had briefly dated and how boring they got very quickly.
Adrian kept walking Blythe next to him, it seemed that he was headed in the direction he had just came from, he changed his course a little to somewhere that wasn't so low on people, he ended up on his face to J road, good enough he thought.

Blythe looked away, aware of how shy she got then. This wasn't something she did really, it was more Anya's thing to go up to a random guy and start talking to them. She didn't know what made her do it when they never spoke before in their lives. She felt embarressed about her sudden impulse once again and shook her head. "No, we haven't before and I really have no idea why I'm talking to you, I normally just walk and mind my own business- I just stick with the few friends that I have." Blythe realized that she was talking too much and laughed softly. "I'm sorry I talk way too much at times," she admitted.

Adrian smiled "Don't worry, im not a big talker, its nice to have someone carry on the conversation other then me trying to think of something to say but only coming up black" he said smiling at Blythe. "And im happy you came and spoke to me, you seem pretty cool" he said not looking her in the eyes a little embarrassed at giving a sort of compliment to a girl he didn't know. "Seeing as we are headed in the direction of J road do you wanna getta drink or something?" he asked her hoping she would say yes "Unless you have somewhere to be" he said hoping that she didnt.

"Yeah?" Blythe sighed and looked away, pretending to look completely bored. "Thanks." Her expression was ruined when her face broke into a smile. That was definetly a first, nobody really ever paid her any compliments, except for Viktor and a few of her other friends, but they didnt really count she supposed. At his invite, Blythe looked down. She was still wearing her work clothes and did she really want to go somewhere else in them? She could be wearing something else right then to go somewhere but that was what she had on.
Blythe cared about herself appearance wise due to the fact that she was into fashion, not the fact that she wanted to impress a bunch of people from school and wouldn't really be caught wearing her uniform anywhere else besides work. But he did already ask and she really shouldn't turn him down just for that reason. He didn't seem like the type to really care, she was just self concious over that fact.
"Nah," she answered finally, to his remark about her needing to be somewhere. "Just gotta date with you, I mean-" she wished could take that back since he'd probably think that she meant that he meant that it was a date date when it wasn't, which she knew.

Adrian smiled in his barin as she smiled up at him, she had a pretty smile, the sort of smile Adrian wouldn't mind seeing a lot of. She paused and thought about his drink proposal for a while and Adrian hoped he hadn't freaked her a out or anything, he only wanted a drink, he hoped she didn't interpret it as more. She looked down at her clothes and Adrian smiled, she didn't look like she was in the height of fashion but Adrian knew from previous pointing outs from his friends that in fact she had more taste them what he was seeing right now. When she said the words date he smiled as she looked a little embarrassed and tried to figure out a way to cover it. He cut in before she could feel even more humiliated "Well i hope you don't mind me asking you on a date even though i have known you properly only for the last ten minutes" he said smiling at her.

Blythe raised an eyebrow, flattered and caught off guard. Had he read her mind or was she just really that obvious? She hoped she wasn't that obvious or she would really have to see what she could do to change that, obviousness wasn't always the best way to go when dealing with guys though sometimes it just turned out that way. "A date," she repeated, her heart pounding as she said that as a question. A date? It was just a date, not a date date, and it wasnt a proposal.

Adrian smiled at her, his lips curving up at the sides, he liked his smile, one of his favorite features. "Yes a date" he said a little hyly now "Is that ok?" he wondered aloud "I mean you don't have to if you don't want, i just kinda thought i might try, i mean you seem like the kinda girl i would love to go on a date with and now im babberling and i will stop now" he said looking down at his shoes for a second before looking back up at her hopefully.

Blythe's mouth turned into a smile easily as Adrian smiled, mostly because it was contagious, and she couldn't help but notice her fluttering heart as she returned it but ignored her heart. She opened her mouth to say something in the middle of his last sentence, but when he said he'd stop, she closed it and her eyes met his before replying shyly. "A date sounds fine."

Adrian looked up and smiled at her, relieved that she hadnt turned him down. "A date it is then" he said smiling "So Miss Calder wher would you like to go?" he asked her. "I mean there arn´t that many exciting places in J road, but im sure we acn find somehwere he said walking a little slower now, his heart had been going crazy waiting for her answer, Adrian wasn´t the type to ask people out on dates straight away like that but as soon as he had seen her he had a felt a little gooey inside like he knew there was something different about her.

Blythe started walking slowly and looked thoughtful, thinking of the places they could go on J. Road. Adrian was right that the place didn't really have anything special after being there for six years and spending weekends and stuff there. But she had never actually gone on a date with anybody before so that area of expertise wasn't that experienced. She couldn't help but figure that a certain Tamislaus would know an answer to that question though. Her eyes slightly narrowed at the thought of him and she pushed him out of her mind. "Hmm, it should be spontaneous or something, since this was quite spontaneous," she answered finally with a smile.
